Pharmacy · the problem

Three problems we solve.

What goes wrong in pharmacy & vaccine storage when checks live on paper and alerts depend on someone noticing.

  1. The overnight gap

Twice-daily checks cover trading hours. If something happens overnight, you can't prove the stock stayed between +2 °C and +8 °C.

  2. Stock you have to throw away

Without a record, a suspected breach often means discarding vaccines and medicines, and a loss or an insurance claim.

  3. Monitors that depend on the shop Wi-Fi

Systems that rely on the store's internet connection go quiet exactly when you need them.

Regulations

The rules you work under.

The rules that usually apply in pharmacy & vaccine storage, and the records they ask for. MeridianCT captures those records as the work happens.

"Strive for 5": keep vaccines between +2 °C and +8 °C, record fridge temperatures, and act when they go out of range.
QCPP (official source, opens in a new tab)
The Quality Care Pharmacy Program, the quality standard for Australian community pharmacies, including how refrigerated stock is managed.

A plain-language summary, not legal advice. Rules differ by state and territory. MeridianCT keeps the records these rules ask for; your team and your regulator decide compliance.

Pharmacy

Life Pharmacy Group

Cooleman Court Pharmacy, part of Life Pharmacy Group, ran a proof of concept of our cold-chain monitoring through Gold Cross: battery-powered devices on cellular networks, so fridge records survive the power and Wi-Fi outages that silenced its old system.

Hospitals & health services

Barwon Health

In 2021 our cold-chain monitoring was deployed for Pfizer vaccine doses at Barwon Health's University Hospital Geelong, one of the first sites in Australia to store them, and across Barwon Health departments and facilities in more than 200 refrigeration assets.
