Health & Care

Every resident. Every meal. Safe.

Food safety, resident menus and the records behind them, watched around the clock. Mealtimes stay about the people in the room, not the paperwork behind them.

Aged care · the problem

Three problems we solve.

What goes wrong in aged care & senior living when checks live on paper and alerts depend on someone noticing.

  1. Diets that change every week

Textures, allergens and clinical diets change resident by resident. The kitchen needs today's list, not last month's.

  2. A fridge nobody checks at 2 am

A cool room that fails overnight puts a day of meals at risk before the morning round finds it.

  3. Accreditation by binder

Assessors want food safety, cleaning and temperature records on demand. On paper, that is a week of preparation.

Regulations

The rules you work under.

The rules that usually apply in aged care & senior living, and the records they ask for. MeridianCT captures those records as the work happens.

Aged Care Quality Standards (official source, opens in a new tab)
The strengthened standards, in effect from 1 November 2025, include a dedicated standard for food and nutrition.
Standard 3.3.1 (official source, opens in a new tab)
Food safety programs for businesses that serve food to vulnerable people, such as hospitals, aged care and childcare.
Food Standards Code 3.2.2 (official source, opens in a new tab)
Keep potentially hazardous food at 5 °C or colder, or 60 °C or hotter. Cool cooked food from 60 °C to 21 °C within 2 hours, then to 5 °C within a further 4 hours.
IDDSI (official source, opens in a new tab)
The international framework that describes texture-modified foods and thickened drinks for people with swallowing difficulties.

A plain-language summary, not legal advice. Rules differ by state and territory. MeridianCT keeps the records these rules ask for; your team and your regulator decide compliance.
